Day One – Crossing the Threshold
We leave Redding at 9am and begin the drive north, the mountain calling louder with every mile. Our first stop is Castle Crags — ancient granite spires that have stood watch over this land since before memory — followed by the still, mirrored waters of Lake Shastina, where we pause to feel the land begin to open.
By evening we arrive home at Anna House Retreat Center, where a warm dinner and soft beds await. Tonight, there is nothing to do but rest, breathe, and let the land spirits begin their quiet welcome.

Day Two – Meeting the Mountain
Today, Shasta introduces herself.
We descend into the cool dark of Pluto’s Cave, ancient lava tubes formed in fire and silence, before rising to drink from Headwaters Spring — the sacred source of the Upper Sacramento River, and the mountain’s own welcome to each of us. After a relaxed lunch in the town of Mount Shasta, we journey up through Shasta-Trinity National Forest, stopping along the way to witness views that photographs can only hint at.
As the road climbs toward the summit, we settle into Panther Meadows for a guided meditation with Jamar, opening ourselves fully to the mountain’s frequency. After dinner back at Anna House, we step outside for one more gift: a sky full of stars, wide open above us.

Day Three – Sacred Mount Shasta
This is a full day in true ceremony, guided by Shaman & Wilderness Guide Michael Chudzik.
We journey to Box Canyon to meet the Keepers of the Mountain and the Elders who hold her stories, receiving our Despacho bundles — sacred intention offerings we will carry with us through the remainder of our time here. After a grounding lunch in town, we visit Faery Falls, where the water itself seems to sing, and take in the view of Heart Lake from Castle Lake’s shore.
The evening calls us to walk the labyrinth — step by step, releasing what no longer serves, before Anna House welcomes us home for dinner once more.

Day Four – Ascension
We rise early and return to the mountain with Michael Chudzik for a half-day journey to Ascension Rock and San Flats — sacred ground for those walking a path of higher initiation.
Bag lunch in hand, we make our way through Panther Meadows’ Lower and Upper Bowls to St. Germain’s Garden, where we lay our Despacho bundles to rest in a burial ceremony upon the mountain herself. From there, we gather for a Closing Ceremony at the top of Mount Shasta — a moment many will carry for the rest of their lives.
Back at Anna House, dinner is followed by a Message Circle, where we come together to share what moved through us today.

Day Five – Carrying it home
On our final morning, we rise gently and make one last stop at Hedge Creek Falls in Dunsmuir before a bit of final shopping and a relaxed lunch together.
Then, full in heart and changed in spirit, we say our goodbyes — carrying Mount Shasta’s frequency with us long after we’ve left her slopes.
