ANSWER THE CALL OF TWO SACRED WORLDS
Amazon Jungle & Sacred Valley, Peru
Somewhere in you, something ancient is stirring… a knowing that the Earth herself has something to teach you, if only you will go to her.
This 15-day sacred journey takes you into the very heart of Peru’s two most powerful realms: first, the primordial cathedral of the Amazon jungle, where the plants are healers, the river is a living oracle, and the indigenous peoples carry a wisdom tradition that predates memory — and then, high into the Andean highlands of Cusco and the Sacred Valley, where Inca temples rise from the earth like prayers in stone and the air itself vibrates with ceremony.
You will descend into Iquitos, the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon, carried by river and intention into a world beyond the ordinary. Here, in the company of local shamans and jungle guides, you will encounter the Yagua and Bora peoples — two of the Amazon’s more than thirty indigenous tribes — learning their dances, their plant medicines, and their unbroken relationship with the natural world. You will spend two transformative days deep in the jungle, working with a local Paqo and Shaman to prepare and receive the sacred ceremony of Ayahuasca, the plant medicine the jungle has offered healers and seekers for thousands of years.
Returning along the Amazon River, you will stop at floating markets and butterfly sanctuaries, witness the quiet miracle of wildlife rescue centers, and feast on fresh Amazonian cuisine beneath the open sky. And if you are very still — and very lucky — you may spot the pink dolphins that grace these waters like spirits in motion.
Then, as the jungle releases you, the mountains call. A flight carries you from Iquitos to Cusco, once the imperial capital of the Inca Empire, where golden light spills over cobblestoned plazas and Spanish colonial facades rise above foundations of ancient stone. You will rest and reorient in the Sacred Valley, breathing in the high Andean air, before the group embarks on an ancient temple tour through some of the most extraordinary sacred sites on Earth — Sacsayhuamán, Ollantaytambo, Pisac, and Machu Picchu among them.
These are not tourist destinations. These are initiations. Each one will ask something of you, and give you something in return that you cannot fully name until long after you return home.
This journey is for the seeker who knows that real transformation lives in the places where the world is oldest — in root medicine and sacred ceremony, in high mountain wind and carved stone, in the eyes of a shaman who has walked with Spirit all their life.
Beloved, the Amazon is calling. The mountains are calling.

Day One – Arrival in Iquitos
Friday, May 28th – Meet your Fellow Travelers and get settled
Your journey begins the moment you land at Secada Vignetta International Airport (IQT). Judi and the team will be there to welcome you, whisk you off to exchange currency, and escort you to the Hotel Safari — your home base on the edge of the Amazon.
After settling in and shaking off the travel dust, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner at 6 PM. Take a swim in the hotel pool, breathe in the humid jungle air, and feel something inside you begin to soften. You have arrived. The Amazon is already working.

Day Two & Three – Meeting the Yagua People + Plant Medicine
Saturday, May 29th & Sunday, May 30th – Into the Jungle — Meeting the Yagua People
Saturday: At 9:30 AM, after breakfast, your guide arrives and leads the group to the river. A 1.5-hour boat ride carries you along the Amazon’s amber waters and into the territory of the Yagua — one of more than thirty indigenous tribes living in this region, each with their own customs, rituals, and relationship with the living jungle.
Spend the day with the Yagua people. Learn. Listen. Let their way of life open something in you that the modern world has long kept closed. This is the beginning of two full days in the jungle, where the real teaching begins.
Overnight in the jungle.
Sunday: Under the guidance of a local Paqo and Shaman, you’ll participate in the Ayahuasca Ceremony — the plant medicine of the Amazon, prepared from the jungle itself and offered in ceremony to those ready to see clearly.
Overnight in the jungle
Day Four – Return Up the Amazon River
Monday, May 31st – Meeting the Bora people and local wildlife
At 9:30 AM, after breakfast, your guide leads the group back onto the river. As you travel upstream, your guide shares the stories of the medicinal plants lining the banks — leaves and roots that the jungle has offered as medicine for millennia.
After a 45–50-minute boat ride, you arrive in the village of the Bora people, where you are welcomed into their dances and customs. Then, onward to El Serpentario — the Iquitos Serpentarium, a stunning natural sanctuary set at the confluence of the Momón and Nanay rivers, home to snakes of every size alongside the prehistoric mata mata turtle and other extraordinary Amazonian creatures.
From there, lunch awaits you at one of the famous floating restaurants on the Amazon — a meal you will not soon forget. The afternoon brings one final wonder: Al Mariposario, the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm, the only butterfly sanctuary in all of Peru, where rescued Amazonian wildlife live alongside hundreds of species of luminous, living butterflies.
By 5:00 PM, you are back at the hotel, ready to rest, refresh, and venture out for dinner.
Hotel: Hotel Safari, Iquitos, Peru

Day Five – Animal Sanctuary & the Belén Floating Market
Tuesday, June 1st – El Crea, Belén Floating Market, and Museum of Indigenous Amazonian Cultures
The morning begins with a visit to El Crea — the Amazon Rescue Center, where you will walk among Amazonian manatees, rare jungle species, and wildlife recovering from poaching and habitat loss. Your guide leads you through the rehabilitation trails and shares the quiet, sacred work of healing the creatures of the Amazon.
From there, you make your way to the legendary Belén Floating Market — one of the most alive, most beautifully chaotic places on Earth. One hundred and fifty native communities gather here to sell the treasures of the jungle: medicinal plants, exotic fruits, and products that fill what locals call the “Amazon pantry.” Let yourself be swept up in its color and rhythm.
Lunch follows at a local restaurant, then the group visits the Museum of Indigenous Amazonian Cultures, where ethnographic artifacts from thirty different Amazon Indian cultures tell the story of how these peoples have lived within, and helped conserve, the fragile world around them.
The evening is yours.
Hotel: Hotel Safari, Iquitos, Peru
Day Six – Plant Medicine Demo, Trapiche & the Amazon Lodge
Wednesday, June 2nd – Last Day in the Amazon
This morning holds one of the journey’s most unique stops: Trapiche, where you’ll get a demonstration of the ancient art of preparing jungle medicine — uña de gato (cat’s claw) and sangre de grado (dragon’s blood) among them. These plants have been used for healing for thousands of years, and the people here carry that tradition forward with quiet devotion.
Lunch is at the Cabaña Amazon Lodge, a beautiful setting where the jungle meets the water. Then the journey home along the river — keep your eyes sharp for the famous pink dolphins that sometimes rise from the Amazon’s surface like a gift from another world. You arrive back around 5:30 PM with time to refresh before dinner.
Hotel: Hotel Safari, Iquitos, Peru

Day Seven & Eight- Rest, Recuperation & Journey to Pisac
Thursday, June 3rd – Friday June 4th – Rest & Journey to Pisac
You’ll leave Iquitos behind and take your flight to Cusco — included in your trip cost. The Amazon has changed you. You are carrying something home that you didn’t arrive with.
Here you’ll enjoy a day of relaxation and recuperation in Pisac; do laundry, meditate, explore.
Day Nine – The Sacred Valley
Saturday, June 5th – Meet additional Fellow Travelers and Settle into the Resort in the Sacred Valley
Today begins your journey with an additional group of travelers at the beautiful Tranquility Hotel / Catalina Resort nestled in Pisac.
We’ll share a traditional Andean meal with sweeping views over the Inca Capital of the World. The afternoon brings a heartwarming Welcome Blessing at a local Llama Farm — your first taste of Pachamama’s magic.
That evening, gather with your fellow travelers at the resort for a warm and soulful welcome circle. These are the people you’ll share this transformation with — and by the end of the week, they’ll feel like family.

Day Ten – Ancient Temples & Sacred Waters
Sunday, June 6th – Visit Ñaupa Iglesia Chapel & Sirenachayoq Waterfall
After breakfast at the resort, we journey to Ñaupa Iglesia — one of the most mysterious and awe-inspiring carved-stone Inca temples in the Sacred Valley. Here, Rev. Dr. Judi, Daniel, and Ynett will lead a traditional Despacho Ceremony inside this ancient temple, offering prayers and intentions to the land and its ancestors.
From there, we travel to the breathtaking Catarata Sirenachayoq Lamay — a sacred waterfall that has long been a site of spiritual renewal. Feel the mist, hear the rush of living water, and let the land speak to you.
We return to the resort for dinner, followed by an evening of quiet reflection to integrate the day’s experiences.
Day Eleven – Living Culture & Indigenous Community Day
Monday, June 7th – Travel to Village of Chahuaytire — Sacred Valley Highlands
This is one of the most treasured days of the entire journey. After breakfast, we head into the mountains above the Sacred Valley to visit the hidden indigenous community of Chahuaytire — one of 24 remarkable communities living in these highlands, many with deep ties to Incan ancestry. Our guides Daniel and Yanet, along with Yanet’s uncle Paqo Luise — a revered healer and personal guide — will welcome us as honored guests.
During our time in the village, you’ll:
- Walk the ancient Camino Principal al Antisuyu and witness Inca petroglyphs connecting you to the ancient ones
- Receive a rare and sacred blessing and entry into their private community temple
- Learn how over 1,700 varieties of potatoes are cultivated in these mountains
- Watch artisans transform raw alpaca wool into vibrant textiles using natural dyes, including the famous cochinilla beetle of the Andes
- Dance, laugh, and share a meal with the community
You’ll leave with a deep, lived understanding of the people who are the living descendants of the Inca — and a full heart.

Day Twelve – The Magic of Machu Picchu
Tuesday, June 8th – Early Departure for Aguas Calientes & Machu Picchu
An early start — bags packed the night before, breakfast to go. We depart at 4:30am.
We travel by van to the train, winding our way through the mountains to the village of Aguas Calientes, gateway to one of the world’s most sacred sites.
Known by many names — Crystal City, Rainbow City, City of the Condor, City of Light — Machu Picchu is nothing short of legendary. This magnificent ancient city carries the energy of the ascended masters who walked here centuries ago.
With two expert guides leading the way, you’ll explore the sacred terrain through the lens of the Inca Trinity:
- The Condor: Ruler of the spirit realm
- The Puma: Ruler of physical manifestation
- Amaru, the Serpent: Ruler of the psyche, death, and rebirth
- Hummingbird: Messenger between worlds, resilience
You’ll have meaningful time alone within the site for personal spiritual ceremony — a chance to deepen your connection with your divine self and discover the clarity that only comes from truly sacred places.
We return to the resort late in the evening, hearts full and spirits expanded.
Day Thirteen – Drum Birthing & Plant Medicine Day
Wednesday, June 9th – A Day of Deep Inner Work
Today’s journey is deeply personal, and you have a choice.
Plant Medicine Ceremony with Wachuma (San Pedro) For those called to this experience, we travel to the sacred lands of Medicine Healers Tiera and DeAmente. Your day begins with a personal cleansing and blessing to release what you’ve been carrying from home and open you fully to what’s ahead.
Wachuma — the sacred San Pedro cactus, used for centuries by Andean healers — is offered to those who choose it. Under the careful guidance of experienced shamans, this medicine is known to reveal thought patterns, dissolve inner blockages, and deepen your connection to the earth and to gratitude itself. Many have described powerful healing, expanded awareness, and a profound sense of belonging to all of life. This is a personal decision, honored without judgment either way.
Personal Reflection Day For those choosing not to participate in plant medicine, this is a gentle, restorative day for quiet introspection. Explore the vibrant community of Pisac, journal, rest, or simply sit with the beauty of the Sacred Valley.
Drum Birthing — All Travelers As the day winds down, everyone gathers at the resort to birth their very own handmade drum. Crafted with your own hands, your drum will be infused with the energy of these sacred lands and blessed in ceremony with the spirits of Pachamama, the Serpent of the South, the Puma of the West, the Hummingbird of the North, and the Condor of the East. Long after you return home, every beat of your drum will carry the wisdom of Peru.

Day Fourteen – Ancient Ruins, Salt Mines & Closing Ceremony
Thursday, June 10th – Archaeological Sites near Maras, Salt Mines, and Mountain Adventure
After breakfast, we spend the day exploring some of Peru’s most remarkable and newly accessible ancient sites — pristine examples of Inca architecture nestled deep in the mountains, where new roads are only now revealing treasures that have waited centuries to be witnessed.
We then visit the legendary Maras Salt Mines — a living testament to Incan ingenuity that has produced salt for hundreds of years. Enjoy an authentic Andean lunch at the Mountain View Restaurant with panoramic views, local vendors, wandering llamas, and often the sound of traditional Andean musicians drifting through the mountain air.
After lunch, choose your adventure: 🐴 Horseback Ride or 🏍️ 4-Wheel Adventure through rolling hills and vast pastures to grandeur for heart connection with Pachamama. (Add-on: $35 per person)
That evening, Rev. Dr. Judi leads the Closing Ceremony — a sacred space of reflection, gratitude, and trance-channeled messages from your guides, offering personal wisdom for how to carry this journey’s gifts forward into your everyday life.
Day Fifteen – Final Ceremony & Departure
Friday, June 11th – Urco Unca Ceremony Inca Ruins & Departure
Our final morning begins with breakfast at the resort before we depart by 9:30am for Cusco.
Here we are received by the deeply revered Paqo Carlos Quispe — a master healer and keeper of Incan tradition, trained by his Elders and Spiritual Teachers. Paqo Carlos guides us in meditation, ceremony, and reflection at one of Cusco’s most powerful sacred sites, helping us seal the wisdom of our week into our hearts before we return to the world.
A final Andean feast follows — a celebration of the journey, the growth, and the bonds formed. You’ll have time for any last-minute shopping or wandering Cusco’s magical streets before we head to the airport.
We will arrive at Cusco airport by 3:00pm to connect with your international flight home — carrying the blessings of the Andes, the ancient ones, and a transformed version of yourself.

Additional Trip Information
Please keep in mind the following for packing:
- Always pack essential items such as your passport, money, eyewear, hiking boots, a pair of shorts/shirt/fleece top/sandals and medications in your carry-on baggage, in case your luggage is delayed.
- Cotton is wonderful in warm weather. However, once it becomes wet, it will drain your body heat. Bring wool or synthetics.
- Bring clothing that is lightweight and protects you from the sun. Muted earthtone colors are best for wildlife viewing. It is always good to have a lightweight, long sleeve jacket, especially for the evenings.
- Always test your layers before a trip. Your outer layer should fit easily over the inside ones without binding and bunching up.
- Make sure boots are broken in. Bring moleskin for foot treatment. Thin liner socks worn under regular hiking socks may minimize the risk of blisters. The liner sock should be synthetic, not cotton. Test your sock combination before you go on the trip.
- If you wear prescription glasses, use a safety cord and bring an extra pair if possible. Contact lens wearers should also bring an extra set, or bring eyeglasses for a backup.
Certain vaccinations are highly encouraged for this trip. Additional information will be sent to you after you reserve your spot, including a full packing list.
