Begin your adventure in Cusco, Peru, the historic heart of the Inca Empire. Here, beneath towering mountains and amidst time-worn cobblestones, you’ll discover living traces of ancient wisdom and spirituality. In Cusco, Spanish colonial architecture stands atop Inca stonework, and the atmosphere is charged with history. As you acclimate to the mountain air, you’re welcomed into a landscape where myth and reality blend. Over six days, you will walk through the Sacred Valley’s most remarkable Inca sites—Sacsayhuamán’s massive stone walls, Ollantaytambo’s living terraces, and ceremonial Pisac, all offering breathtaking views and stories etched in stone. Following the legendary Inca Trail through lush cloud forests to Machu Picchu, you’ll encounter ancient temples and terraces appearing like a vision from the past—a testament to the ingenuity and spiritual devotion of the Inca.
You’ll also explore lands marked by mysterious petroglyphs and lesser-known ruins, stepping back in time to connect with the soul of Pachamama, Mother Earth. Welcomed by the Paqo, Inca wisdom keepers, you can join in sacred ceremonies—despacho offerings and rituals honoring the spirits of condor, puma, and llama—deepening your connection to the earth and its cycles. Learn to create a healing drum, meet the animal guides of the Andes, and, if you wish, participate in profound ceremonies guided by shamans with sacred plant medicines, opening new paths of self-discovery. PERU: Amazon Jungle & Mysteries of Machu Picchu - 12 Days May of 2027
5/16/26 Amazon Jungle (5-days) : Iquitos, Amazon River, Indigenous Village of Bora people, El Serpentario (largest tropical forest on our planet, visit to Peruvian rescue center for exotic and even prehistoric animals from the amazon. We'll visit Monkey Island, see El Crea to learn about Amazonian Manatee, Al Mariposario, The Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm and visit the Belen Floating Market. Our journey will include an authentic overnight medicine ceremony with a local Paqo (shaman), deep within the Amazon, and invite the jungle to be a spiritual teacher.
5/23/27 Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu. We will fly to Cusco, and stay nestled within the Sacred Valley. We will visit the Ancient Lands, walk the Inca trail, be welcomed into the indigenous villages, learn sacred practices of textiles, visit sacred sites filled with Petroglyphs. We will participate in many Ceremonies with Paqo (Shaman) for birthing a new drum, finding the soul of self, visiting the sacred condor, puma and llama while learning from Earth Medicine that plants can teach us too.

The food in Peru is delicious and all natural. The Catalina Retreat Centers grow and purchase most of what we will be eating locally. There are no American additives or preservatives used!
